Technical Information Analyst

12 Month contract based in JHB

team Information Analyst serves as a business analysis and technical information expert with responsibility for the performing in-depth technical data and minor programmatic data and systems investigations of various data sources across the organisation. The roles require experience working with technical languages and underlying technologies. This will involve supporting technical development teams with defining technical requirements and also performing technical testing and verification of features and functionality. Working with data and being able to run technical querying and basic code analysis is essential for this role.

Strong background data analysis and querying with a variety of tools and languages
Critical and analytical thinking is required
Be comfortable to perform data querying with at least SQL or similar
Understand database concepts
Understand basic data modelling concepts
Strong analysis and troubleshooting skills
Worked in highly technical and dynamic environments where detail and quality is encourage and required
Self-starter who is excited about learning new technology
Researching and remaining current on data technology and industry trends and innovations
Bonus: Basic knowledge of Bigdata (any one of the following Hadoop/Kafka/NOSQL) and technologies is highly beneficial but not required
Bonus: Be able to read at least 1 formal typed programming language
